UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell has made a name for himself as a high level grappler and for his controversial opinions. The 30-year-old fighter has been a part of the UFC since 2018. After a long layoff, Mitchell is booked to compete against Kron Gracie. The Christian UFC fighter is known to carry polarizing viewpoints, one that includes his dislike for the US government’s regulations.
Bryce Mitchell is more than just a fighter, as during his off-time he get involved in farming business. He holds various views about electric and motor cars as well. This has made him harshly criticize billionaire Elon Musk in the process. In his recent media scrum for the UFC 310 card, Mitchell was seen making bizarre comments about seat belts.
Inconvenienced by the mandatory nature of the protocol, Mitchell voiced his opinions against them in the media day scrum. But that’s not the only thing the grappling phenom is at odds with. Not long ago, the featherweight star went on a tirade against Elon Musk for inventing ‘anti-christ’ technology. In his rant, the MMA fighter suggested that Musk invented technology in order to control the world.
UFC Icon and Musk’s close buddy, Joe Rogan, also fell prey to Mitchell’s rant as the featherweight called him out for harboring different viewpoints over ‘Flat Earth.’ Bouncing back from a devastating knockout loss at UFC 296, Mitchell aims to get back into the win column. However, seat belts aren’t the only thing he disagrees with as he took aim at Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Bryce Mitchell dubs Neil deGrasse Tyson as US government plant
After one year layoff, the number 13th ranked fighter is ready to making his comeback. It seems like no one can escape Mitchell’s ire in the lead up to UFC 310. The American fighter took aim at yet another public figure apart from Musk in Neil deGrasse Tyson. The 30-year-old fighter doubled down on his flat earth claims and called Tyson just a government plant.
Speaking with Nina Marie Daniels during the media day scrum, Mitchell unloaded on Tyson. The UFC star believed the earth was actually flat and naysayer like Tyson are government plants geared toward spreading misinformation. Furthermore, he suggested their alleged attempt to deny the existence of god is a farce.
Mitchell evoked the scared text of Holy Bible to combat negative thoughts from his previous devastating loss. Now, with a popular name in front of him, ‘Thug Nasty’ is ready to ascend the featherweight rankings. A win over Kron Gracie would put in a good place to extend a callout in the top 10, taking him one step towards the UFC gold.
