WWE legend Bully Ray noticed Gunther using a phrase that had been banned under the previous regime. The words “wrestlers” and “professional wrestling” were not preferred, in favor of terms like “entertainers” and “sports entertainment.” As such, the veteran was shocked by The Ring General’s free usage of the term “professional wrestler” during his promo.

Bully Ray took to X and shared a statement that Gunther had made before his match. He emphasized the phrase “professional wrestler” by writing it in capital letters. He was astonished by the fact that a new-generation superstar could use the phrase without facing any consequences. Many superstars have openly spoken about the significant changes they witnessed from Vince McMahon‘s regime to Triple H‘s regime.

On the latest episode of Raw, the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion cut a promo in an empty arena. First of all, he praised Jey Uso for reaching new heights and becoming one of the most popular stars. However, he then called him a showman and asserted that he would always be a better professional wrestler than him.

During the backstage interview, the 36-year-old shared his opinion on his match against Uso. He stated that, although he was very close to beating him, his hard-earned luck saved him. Shifting his focus toward the final battle, the Imperium leader assessed both of his potential opponents. Gunther said that the common thing about both of them was that they had never faced somebody like him inside a wrestling ring.

What they have in common, is they've never ever stepped in the ring with somebody like The Ring General.
