Caitlin Clark Celebrates Close Friends Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones’ Engagement

Since arriving in Indianapolis, Caitlin Clark has leaned on the people inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse to build a new home. Prime among those people were Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton and Jade Jones.

Haliburton was the first to greet her upon her arrival, and the two instantly bonded over their playing style and ties to Iowa. Then, Clark and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, became double date partners along with Jones.

That friendship blossomed to the point where they were trolling each other on social media, cheering each other at their respective games, and even partying together at the WNBA All-Star weekend.

Clark would have preferred it if Tyrese Haliburton had not torn his Achilles tendon and helped the Pacers win their first-ever NBA title. However, the two young guards know they are tasked with bringing titles to the city, and they continuously find ways to help each other.

Since they are going to do this for a long time, the Pacers guard decided to make the next move in his life. He flew his girlfriend to Iowa State, where they first met, and went down on one knee to ask her hand in marriage. The Fever guard was one of the first to celebrate this moment.

The Pacers officially announced that he will not play in the upcoming 2025-26 season as he continues his recovery and rehab. This could be a blessing in disguise for the 25-year-old. With time off, he could delve into studying the game more than he could in the past.

Her third soft tissue injury has cast a cloud over her health. This time, her team is being extra cautious and has not issued a timeline for her return. They are in the thick of a battle for the playoffs, and could be taking time to get her back to full health.

On the other hand, there are concerns that a late return could mess with the team chemistry that has been building over the past few weeks. Considering all that, some analysts believe it is better if the Fever shuts Clark down for the year.

Considering how important her long-term health is to this franchise, they could make a decision based on how their playoff picture develops over the next few weeks. If they do take that decision, Clark could join her close friend in being permanent fixture on the injury report.
