Caitlin Clark has firmly entrenched herself in the state of Indiana. Other than playing for the Indiana Fever, the WNBA superstar spends a lot of time with teammates and friends when she is not on the court. Now with her boyfriend Connor McCaffery working as an assistant coach at Butler University, her time in the state has increased.

Other WNBA stars usually spend time away from their place of work as much as possible. Excepting a few who have rooted themselves in the community. But that is not what a rookie usually does, as they spend the offseason being around their alma mater, family and friends.

Caitlin Clark did spend time with her former Iowa Hawkeyes teammates as well as going to their first games. But she has returned, even though her friends have stayed back. Instead, she went to watch the Butler Bulldogs play their fourth game of this season.

Alongside her was Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton and his girlfriend Jade Jones. The three are good friends and spend a lot of time together. As the fourth in their group was working on the sidelines, they made it to the game.

But there was one instance that brought them all to laugh hysterically. The play was when Patrick McCaffery, the younger brother of Clark’s boyfriend, hit a tough fadeaway shot. He then proceeded to flex on the way to the bench as the trio sitting courtside were captured going through the emotions.

Caitlin Clark could see changes to her Indiana Fever team

Her emotions are well and truly for those who she is friends with or is comfortable. Such as close teammates Aliyah Boston, Lexie Hull and a couple of others. But when the WNBA expansion draft for the Golden State Valkyries comes up on December 6th, she could see some changes.

Rules stipulate that the Indiana Fever and all other teams can protect six players including free agents. Kelsey Mitchell is an unrestricted free agent and one who the franchise wants back. That makes her the likely candidate to be assigned the ‘Core Player’ tag.

That leaves the team with the ability to protect a further six. But with an entirely new management handling the affairs, who they choose to protect will heavily depend on what schemes they will run under their new head coach.

The team also has the cap space to attempt to sign another lucrative free agent. With the likes of Kelsey Plum, and Satou Sabally headlining the free agent class, and many wanting to team up with Caitlin Clark, it will not be surprising if one of them ends up with the Indiana Fever.
