The news of Chicago Sky rookie sensation Angel Reese’s heartbreaking season-ending wrist injury had soured the mood of fans of the game all over the world. The news then led to numerous messages of support and love and rival, Caitlin Clark was not left out.

Caitlin Clark had joined her voice with fans all over social media when she used her pre-game press conference before the Indiana Fever’s game against the Atlanta Dream. Clark rightly called the moment sad while praising her for a historic rookie season, where they both dominated the WNBA airwaves.

It’s definitely sad anytime you see anyone go down with an injury, especially people that you came into this league with... I thought she came into the league and really did what she’s done well her entire career as long as I’ve known her. So it’s definitely devastating. It’s never anything you want to see from a player.

Angel Reese was having a rookie season to remember as she broke and created numerous records along the way. Prior to her sad exit, she had set the record for multiple double-doubles and rebounds while also fiercely competing for the coveted WNBA Rookie of the Year award with Caitlin Clark.

However, the award all but belongs to Clark as she also continues her record-breaking season, successfully taking the Fever to their first playoffs in eight seasons. Her debut season sees her averaging 19.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game.

Caitlin Clark hypes teammate Aliyah Boston as Indiana Fever bounces back with a win against Atlanta Dream

The Indiana Fever saw their five-game streak ended at the hands of the Minnesota Lynx and had to fight back to take the game to overtime in the 104-100 win against the Atlanta Dream. Aliyah Boston led for the Fever with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists, while Clark came up with 26 points, 12 assists, and five rebounds.

At the end of the game, both Clark and Boston were asked about the playoffs during the post game presser. This then led to a series of back and forth between the two stars, with Clark eventually teasing Boston.

There’s no doubt that the addition of Clark has been a boost to the Fever who have clinched a place in the post-season and are playing like title contenders. Fever fans would be excited that their early season woes are now in the past and would want to get another win in the bag when they face the Las Vegas Aces in what will be a star-studded affair.
