On Wednesday April 10, former NFL star O.J. Simpson passed away at the age of 76 due to cancer. His family would announce this news on social media that lead to several paying their tributes. However, former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner had something else to say and dropped a candid two word response on this.

Despite his great career, Simpson’s life took a great turn when he was accused of brutally killing his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman. Despite being acquitted from the “Trial of the Century“, Simpson remained in the media spotlight.

Jenner though had been a strong critic of O.J. Simpson in the past. A reason for this was because her ex-wife, Kris Jenner was close friends with Brown Simpson. Taking to her X account to react to his death, Jenner wrote “Good Riddance” with a hashtag of OJSimpson.

The post which has amazed over 43 millions so far, ignited some fierce reactions from fans including former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe who called her comments “very tacky, very distasteful“. Speaking on the Nightcap podcast along with Chad Johnson, the two emphasized “you don’t celebrate someone’s death” while bashing her.

Many called her out for this message with some pointing her fatal car crash case in 2015 which led to her paying for a settlement. She and her team has so far offered no explanation regarding this message from her.

The reaction by Caitlyn Jenner towards the death of O.J. Simpson has stunned the world despite it being no secret that she had some animosity towards him. Needless to say this was not the first time she had some harsh words for him. She once brutally blasted Simpson while promoting her memoir, “The Secrets of My Life” in 2017.

As per The Washington Post, Jenner labeled Simpson as “the most narcissistic, egocentric, neediest a****** in the world of sports I had ever seen“. She even spoke about the alleged double murder trial and added “I believe he got away with two savage murders“.

At the time when Jenner said this, Simpson was in Nevada jail on charges of armed robbery. In December 2021 he was released from parole early on terms of good behavior. Since then he had been leading a quiet life in Las Vegas. Recently he did admit that he was battling prostate cancer which ignited some insensitive comments from some social media users.
