As much as Caleb Williams wants to build his name among the greatest of the NFL, he seems to be going viral for all the wrong reasons. The rookie quarterback once again came under scrutiny over a picture from the Bears practice session, which is making rounds on the internet.
Last Friday, rap sensation Lil Durk graced the practice session of the Chicago Bears however he ended up making headlines for an entirely different reason. While posing for a picture with rookie quarterback Williams, Durk can be seen holding hands with him which sparked quite a stir on social media.
With all the hype around the Bears this offseason especially because of the 2024 No. 1 draft pick, it’s certainly no surprise that the rapper visited the practice of his home team. However, his first meeting with Williams pulled him into the backlash for his non-stereotypical preferences of grooming himself.
After earning his place as the starting quarterback of the Bears, the USC standout came under intense limelight for sporting pink nail paint and lip gloss at the NCAA Tournament last season, to support his peers.
Moreover, the quarterback is also spotted holding a purse during a clip by HBO’s Hard Knocks. Despite the criticism, Williams remained unbothered and claimed it was just another way of expressing himself.
Fan reactions to Caleb Williams and Lil Durk holding hand
Unfortunately, fans didn’t view Durk and Williams’ hand-holding moment as a playful act, but mocked the two on social media. In utter disbelief, some even questioned the credibility of the image, asking if it was fake. Some even made a keen observation and argued that they were not actually holding hands.

One fan wrote, “Appearing to ?! They heading to thre Prom bruh” with a laughing emoji while another wrote, “Someone y’all never played the “made you look game” and it shows.”
Here are some of the fan reactions:
Some fans argued that Williams is being portrayed in a wrong way when, in fact, he is holding sunglasses in the picture. A few asked why this is making headlines since there is nothing wrong with a man holding another player’s hand.
