Right before his highly anticipated return to Washington, Caleb Williams had a layover at a local Illinois school. The Chicago Bears quarterback met with the students of the establishment, creating fond memories.
Williams arrived at St. Viator High School in Illinois, surprising the students at the establishment. It isn’t every day an NFL quarterback drops by a school, but the rookie has a knack for thinking outside the box.
His debut season has been phenomenal, giving the Chicago natives something to cheer about after a long time. Although the Bears are last in the NFC North, they have won four games from six this season, with Williams completing 1317 passing yards and 9 touchdowns along with 25 carries for 169 yards on the ground.
The 22-year-old quickly became a fan favorite, and it showed when it was time for him to leave. A video from the moment surfaced on social media, which showed some of the students followed Williams to his car. They tried to take more photos, but he managed to somehow close the car door and zoom off.

Caleb Williams is looking forward to playing against Jayden Daniels
Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels were cut above the rest during their college years. Williams won the Heisman Trophy in 2022, while Daniels bagged the prestigious award the following season. They were even selected No. 1 and No. 2 overall in the 2024 draft, setting up a greatly anticipated matchup.
Similar to the Bears, Daniels and the Commanders’ start to the new season has been excellent. However, as things stand, the LSU graduate may not make it to the game in Washington. He suffered a bad rib injury in the Commanders’ last game and was replaced by Marcus Mariota.
Throughout the past week, the commanders coaching and medical staff have kept close surveillance on Daniels, but there’s still no confirmation whether he will play against the Bears. Williams, on the other hand, wants the 23-year-old to start.
Washington head coach Dan Quinn remains silent on who will lineup against Williams on Sunday. Regardless, it’s bound to be a close affair between two in-form teams.
As for the bookmakers, they are leaning more towards the Chicago outfit. The Bears are -3 points favorites to secure their fifth win of the season.
