Mexican boxing sensation Canelo Alvarez recently discussed his potential fight with MMA fighter. It seems that Alvarez has named Conor McGregor as a possible opponent in the coming years.
Canelo Alvarez and Conor McGregor are standout fighters in their respective fields. Speaking of their accolades, McGregor is a former UFC double champion. On the other hand, Alvarez has held multiple world championships in different weight classes. Knowing about the status these two fighters hold, journalist Manouk Akopyan questioned Canelo about the possibility of a fight against McGregor.

As such, McGregor wasn’t quite happy when he heard the news of Canelo clashing against Dana White’s dream project. Meanwhile, Alvarez also didn’t hold back hearing the Irishman’s brutal rants. Canelo eventually shut down McGregor and labeled him as his son.
All these back-and-forth verbal shots have finally accumulated in a buildup for a potential fight between the two fighters. As for now, the Irishman is seemingly focused on his comeback fighter. On the other hand, Canelo is gearing up to fight this weekend. However, what McGregor replies to Alvarez’s statement remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the UFC CEO, who came across these recent developments, has stated his opinions.

Dana White has been in this fight industry for over many years now. He saw several crossover fights between boxers and MMA fighters during this time. Interestingly, he was a close observer in one of those when Conor McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather. Even though the fight didn’t turn out in favor of McGregor, he earned a hefty paycheck there.
White, who observed the benefits and consequences of that bout, was recently asked about the potential fight between Canelo and McGregor. Renowned sports journalist Manouk Akopyan seemed interested in the UFC CEO’s stance on the matter.
