The drama around Canelo Alvarez‘s next fight currently has all the eyes in the boxing community. The Mexican superstar was rumored to fight either Terence Crawford or YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul. However, Saudi Arabian royalty, Turki Alalshikh has now put a full stop to all these assumptions with his recent announcement.
Yesterday, Ring Magazine reported that the much anticipated Alvarez vs. Crawford fight was officially off. This forced fans to believe that the super middleweight champion is more inclined to fight Jake Paul, given a lucrative deal. However, Alalshikh has now made it clear that Alvarez’s next four fights will take place in Riyadh.
Canelo in Riyadh in May. The big fight in the history of boxing in September. Then two more fights in 26. Don’t mess with the lion.

With Crawford fighting Alvarez in September, it is unclear who will go against Alvarez In May. The announcement about that fight is yet to be made, but it won’t be Jake Paul. Other than the money involved, the fight between Paul and Alvarez never made sense to the fans in the first place.
