On last week’s episode of SmackDown, it was revealed that Carlito attacked Dragon Lee ahead of his tag team match with Rey Mysterio. His frustration got the better of him, as the Lucha legend chose Dragon Lee as his tag team partner for the WrestleMania XL match. Now, he has finally broken the silence on social media after his betrayal.

The 45-year-old took to Instagram and expressed his honest opinions about being drafted to Raw. He stated that the story between him and L.W.O. is not over. Surprisingly, the graphics of their announcement hinted that Carlito was still a member of the L.W.O.

The L.W.O. were picked as a group and got drafted to Raw in the third round of the 2024 WWE Draft. On the latest episode of SmackDown, Santos Escobar came out and revealed the CCTV footage which showed it was The Caribbean Cool, who launched the attack. After his dark truth came out in front of everyone, he once again hit Dragon Lee with the Backstabber and fled the scene.

Since he returned to help the L.W.O. at Backlash in Puerto Rico last year, Carlito hasn’t done anything significant. Fans wanted to see him as the entertaining heel he was during his initial run, but he was just there as another L.W.O. member. However, after betraying their group, he might engage in an entertaining feud with Rey Mysterio.

WWE veteran reacted to Carlito’s heel turn on Smackdown

It looks like the L.W.O. faction is cursed with backstabbings and betrayals. After Santos Escobar betrayed his idol Rey a few months ago, the 45-year-old veteran has now turned his back on the group. Following the betrayal, Dutch Mantell expressed his thoughts in an interview.

While speaking on the SmackTalk podcast, the WWE veteran was impressed by how it all worked out. He remarked that he found The Caribbean Cool’s actions hilarious, as he simply took off after his jig was up.

I kind of liked it. Now, you have to have liked Carlito's face when he saw it; he threw him over there, and then he took off. That was good.

Many fans wanted Carlito to venture out on his own and hoped for him to get drafted on SmackDown after his betrayal. However, knowing that he was still a part of the group puzzled the WWE Universe. It will be interesting to see where his story goes from here.
