Tennis couples are becoming more common in the sport, with more players forming dream partnerships. Leading the way are Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa, who have thrilled fans with their relationship. Joining them are Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter, adding to the list of notable tennis couples.

Recently, Carlos Alcaraz was asked if he would play mixed doubles if he had a girlfriend on the WTA tour.

Well, each player is different. Personally, first I have to put myself in the situation if I had a girlfriend. Then it would be complicated.

Alcaraz’s answer came across as a guarded but an honest reply to a question which a rookie might easily stutter upon.

But in the end, also mixing personal and professional life… We are in a tennis tournament and I, personally, would look at the professional part first.

Alcaraz has a funny history of answering questions related to girls and once again he had to answer a hypothetical question. Like Tsitsipas and Badosa, Alcaraz was fine about playing mixed tennis if he had a girlfriend.

He did not agree at the start but revealed to be open to the idea if he and his possible girlfriend are completely fit to play mixed tennis. Although he isn’t in a relationship as of now (officially), his fans are eagerly awaiting some hot news. Recently, Jannik Sinner admitted to dating Russian pro Anna Kalinskaya, to the surprise of the tennis world.

Carlos Alcaraz sets up an exciting clash against Stefanos Tsitsipas at the quarter-finals of the French Open

Coming back from a shoulder injury, World No.3 Carlos Alcaraz has played phenomenally well at the French Open. He turned into his dominant self and cruised past his opponents without any difficulties. Despite his draw getting harder with every round, Alcaraz has kept his game up and is running for a chance to win his first clay major.

However, the Spaniard will now play his toughest match yet, against Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek has been on a roll on the lay courts and is a strong contender for a deep run. He too has never won the French Open and would look to make it count this time.

Alcaraz hasn’t made much impact this year and would also look for a first Grand Slam in Paris. Both the players are good on clay and it would come down to the better player in that match on Tuesday.
