4-time singles Grand Slam winner Carlos Alcaraz recently had to pick his ‘GOAT player’ between Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer. After his Wimbledon win, the Spaniard was understandably caught in many interviews, where such a difficult question was posed to him. 

In a recent candid interview with ATP, Alcaraz teamed up with popular YouTuber Sharky to film a funny rapid fire as part of ATP’s ‘Down The T’ with Sharky. The ‘Beta squad’ member asked Alcaraz a few interesting and somewhat controversial questions.

One of the main being who does he consider as the GOAT of tennis. This is a question that stirs a lot of conversation in the tennis community, and Alcaraz had a different take on it. He picked Novak Djokovic in terms of the most number of titles but also said that the other two are also on top.

As far as numbers, it is Novak Djokovic, without a doubt. The other two Federer and Rafa. For me, they're tops.

The youngster recently won the Wimbledon for the second time in a row. Once again, he beat Novak Djokovic in the final. Compared to last year, this was a sweeter victory for the Spaniard, who beat the Serbian 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(4). With this win, he is the youngest men’s player to have 4 Grand Slam titles at the age of 21.

2024 might not have started well for Carlos Alcaraz, but the youngster found his form in no time and won his first Grand Slam at the French Open.

However, he was not done with this. Alcaraz imprinted a tattoo in remembrance of this day. He got a tattoo of the Eiffel Tower imprinted on his leg to remember his first clay-court major. 

I told my parents, just to calm them, that it’s just the first one in every major!

The 21-year-old now has four Grand Slam titles to his name and is way ahead of the others in his generation. Even Rafael Nadal said that Alcaraz has no competition except Jannik Sinner. With the Olympics coming up, Alcaraz will be put to the test on clay once again to try to win a medal for his country.
