World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz is still recovering from a historic yet exhausting 2024 season. The Spaniard won two Grand Slam titles this year, taking his overall Grand Slam tally to four.
Like everyone else, Alcaraz is in the Christmas spirit. In a recent interview, he revealed the Christmas presents he would give to Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal.
I would give him [Jannik Sinner] new boots for skiing or new things for skin. Novak Djokovic? That’s difficult, I would give him a Spanish ham, a good one. Rafael Nadal? I would give him a really good wine bottle or a new set of golf clubs.
Carlos Alcaraz said in an interview
Although Alcaraz has been off the ATP Tour since the Davis Cup elimination against the Netherlands, he has still been on the court for a few exhibition matches. The former World No. 1 played against Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.

Alcaraz finished the season in poor form, failing to win the US Open title and the ATP Finals. He criticized the poor scheduling by tennis authorities, which he believes contributed to his struggles. For now, he is enjoying a well-earned break away from the tennis courts.
Carlos Alcaraz set to kickstart his preparation for the Australian Open
Carlos Alcaraz is back to training. On Monday, December 9, the Spaniard started his preseason with his team at Real Sociedad Club de Campo in Murcia, near his hometown of Palmar. He is preparing for the upcoming 2025 season.

Alcaraz ended his year playing in the Davis Cup Final 8 in Malaga, where Rafael Nadal made his final career appearance. After Spain lost in the quarter-finals to the Netherlands, Alcaraz took a holiday in the Dominican Republic with his friends. He spent time relaxing on the beach, enjoying boat trips, and playing golf.
The break wrapped up an incredible 2024 season for Alcaraz. He won Roland Garros, Wimbledon, an Olympic silver medal in Paris, the Indian Wells Masters 1000, and an ATP 500 title in Beijing. In Beijing, he defeated Jannik Sinner in an exciting final.
In the coming days, Alcaraz will train at the Ferrero Tennis Academy in Villena with World No. 32 Flavio Cobolli. His sessions will be led by Juan Carlos Ferrero and Samuel Lopez, who has officially joined his coaching team. On Friday, Alcaraz will attend the opening of Los pies en la tierra (Feet on the Ground), an exhibition by the Alcaraz Foundation promoting equal opportunities for children.
