One team that had a horrendous 2020 campaign was undoubtedly Ferrari, with a lackluster car it not a dropped their driver’s performance. It also made fall behind their expected positions, having made rare appearances on the podium. Ferrari are really hopeful with their new engine. On contrary notes, Carlos Sainz had a very impressive previous season. Having helped McLaren grab the third position in the Constructor’s standings, Sainz uplifted his reputation on the tracks. 

Those performances in the previous season, helped Sainz grab a spot at Ferrari. He surely is optimistic about Ferrari’s new engine and feels now they could do a lot better in 2021. The power unit was a major concern for Ferrari in the 2020 campaign. Both Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel despaired over the performance of their cars despite some valiant efforts. 

Carlos Sainz optimistic about Ferrari’s 2021 Car

“There are many details that make you feel special.” 

Sainz, however, has reason to believe that 2021 could get better. He continued, “I already see some positive signs from Ferrari and improvements and obviously a new engine is coming that should improve the situation a bit again, although I think the new year for everyone will be in 2022.” 

Having said that, with the existence of a few solid players like Sainz in an already ultra-competitive midfield, the road ahead is certainly tough for the Prancing Horse. But let’s see how this particular season pans out for Ferrari with Carlos Sainz with them.
