As the 2025-26 season continues on its path, Stephen Curry and his Golden State Warriors are on a mission to try to compete for another NBA championship.

If they do win it somehow, this will be his 5th title. That would put him above the likes of LeBron James and closer to the NBA’s GOAT, Michael Jordan.

Some might believe that the point guard has not done enough to surpass the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, both in terms of individual accomplishments and his influence on those four titles.

But there is no denying how he has impacted the NBA, and along with his championships, and what he has done to change the way the game is played, led Carmelo Anthony to say this.

If you take in the GOAT’s, how are you going to sit there and tell me Steph is not in that conversation? In Steph’s eyes, right, think about what Steph probably thinks. I don’t know, but he probably sits from, ‘It’s Mike, it’s Kobe, and then it’s me.’ Right? He’s not gonna put Bron over himself.

While saying this, the Hall of Famer had support from Shaquille O’Neal, who in the past has received flak for suggesting that Stephen Curry should be in the GOAT debate.

The 10-time All-Star believes that, as a competitor, the Warriors star will be thinking about this, and added that he does have a legitimate case to consider himself among the GOATs.

Former champion shoots down Kevin Durant saving Stephen Curry’s legacy claims

As Stephen Curry continues to go to work with his Golden State Warriors in pursuit of that 5th championship, some claim that his legacy is tainted by the fact that Kevin Durant had to come in to save the day.

They won a championship before him. They won a championship after him. As far as I’m concerned, the conversation is over if could they win without KD.

Richard Jefferson said on the Road Trippin’ Show

The former champion believes the 2022 championship run was the perfect example of how the Bay Area superstar distinguished himself from the time when Durant was there.

Richard Jefferson feels that title, along with the one before the Slim Reaper joined the Warriors, is proof of Stephen Curry‘s legacy. The fact that he is still continuing to push for it while being the main guy on his team is proof that Durant’s run was just an addition, and not a legacy-saving move.

Stephen Curry’s Warriors have started a run of wins after difficult November

In the last few years, November has turned out to be a difficult month for the Golden State Warriors. Be it injuries or the sheer lack of understanding between the players, they have struggled to win consistently.

During this past month, senior players questioned the team’s agenda as they and Stephen Curry huffed and puffed their way to 8 losses in 15 games.

Those losses continued into December, but have since stopped. Their previous two wins against potential playoff contenders on the road were not just impressive, but also gave them a sigh of relief.

The task would be to continue that streak. Otherwise, they risk falling out of playoff contention in a Western Conference where every game determines how a team will line up in the postseason.

They have to win as many games as they can this month if they are to take advantage of their extensive run of home games in January. Then, maybe they can climb out of the play in spots.
