Casper Ruud admits he has a ‘lot to learn’ from player and person Jannik Sinner
Casper Ruud has stated that he has a lot to learn from Jannik Sinner after losing to the Italian at the ATP Finals in Turin.

It has been a roller coaster 2024 season for Jannik Sinner. The Italian bookmarked the beginning and end of the year with Grand Slam victories. He defeated Casper Ruud at the ATP Finals to reach in second straight year final in Turin.
Ruud has revealed that he admires the 23-year-old as a player and person. On Saturday night (November 16), Sinner dominated his semifinal match against Ruud, winning 12 of the first 15 points in the first set.
The Norwegian star was able to steal the fifth game, but the set ended 6-1 in favor of Sinner in exactly 30 minutes. The World No. 1 continued in the same fashion in the second set even though it played aggressively.
Sinner won the tie 6-1, 6-2 to ensure he returns to the title match of the ATP Finals for the second straight year. He will face Taylor Fritz in the final, which will be a repeat of this year’s US Open final, after the American defeated Alexander Zverev in three sets.
During Casper Ruud’s post-match conference, the 25-year-old revealed that he admires Sinner as a player and person. He added that despite being older, he has a lot to learn from the Italian.
Sinner has already won seven titles this season and will be seeking his eighth on Sunday (November 17). He has only lost in one final this season, at the China Open against Carlos Alcaraz.

Jannik Sinner finished the 2023 ATP Finals in Turin as the runner-up after losing to Novak Djokovic in straight sets. The Italian has taken a step in the right direction since then and has become the player to beat this season.
Ahead of his match against Taylor Fritz, the World No. 1 said that he will put his experience to use against the American. He explained that he would try to play his best game and end the year on a strong note.
Sinner and Fritz have met each other four times, with the former leading 3-1 in their head-to-head record. Sinner has won the last two meetings, while Fritz’s only victory came at the 2021 Indian Wells Masters.
