Chad Gable is currently on the run of his WWE career. The superstar has gotten a ton of TV time over the past few weeks and is involved in a heated feud with Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship. However, his contract with WWE may be next on the chopping block.

According to a report by Fightful, Gable’s contract with WWE is set to expire next week. The former Olympian and the company have not come to a deal yet, and his future with the company still hangs in the balance.

2024 has seen this situation repeated with several superstars. Becky Lynch, whose contract with the company also expires next week, seems to have taken a hiatus from wrestling. Meanwhile, her husband, Seth Rollins, along with other superstars like Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor, have all re-signed with the company in the past two months.

As mentioned before, Chad Gable is doing the best character work of his career with his current involvement in a feud for the IC title. Therefore, his contract is expected to be renewed by the Stamford-based wrestling promotion sooner rather than later. 

Braun Strowman sees a world championship caliber star in Chad Gable

Braun Strowman recently gave an interview on Wrestlebinge. The Monster Among Men was asked to name a superstar who hasn’t won a world championship yet but is expected to do so soon. He immediately named Gable as someone he saw world championship caliber in.

The former Universal Champion claimed that if they were to call anyone on the roster underrated, it had to be The Alpha Academy leader. As per Strowman, Gable has all the tools required to be a successful WWE Superstar. Furthermore, the 38-year-old knew his way around the microphone and had a great look.

In addition to that, Braun Strowman called him an unbelievable human being. The former Wyatt Family member revealed that he would love for Gable to get a shot at becoming a world champion because he deserved it. 

Having said that, the amateur wrestling specialist has received such compliments from many world champions and wrestling legends. Kurt Angle, Seth Rollins, and Booker T have all come out and showered praise on him. If his contract is not renewed, it will surely be a huge loss for the company.
