Chad Gable continued to mentally torment his Alpha Academy teammates on the latest episode of Raw. Amid the turmoil within the faction, the 38-year-old star had an interesting interaction backstage. Gable was caught talking with The Creed Brothers. The former Tag Team Champion seemingly gloated about his match with Sami Zayn before telling Julius and Brutus to contemplate what he said.
Since turning heel, fans have called for the Alpha Academy leader to follow in the footsteps of Kurt Angle. Having said that, there was speculation that Gable would form a new faction and ditch Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa. As such, many suggested the names of The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile as the members.
In fact, Dave Meltzer had reported that WWE was indeed planning on doing the same. Despite the rumors, Chad Gable has been focused on ‘changing’ the mindset of his teammates. On last night’s Raw, the formerly known Shorty G lambasted Tozawa and Dupri during his match against Zayn. Moreover, he forced Otis to interfere by slapping him once again on the outside.
The former Money In The Bank winner obliged by helping his master pick up a crucial win. As for The Creed Brothers, only time will tell if they end up joining forces with Gable. Last week, they failed to become #1 contenders for the World Tag Team Championships, prolonging their pursuit of gold on the main roster.
Will Otis betray Chad Gable at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE?
After blindsiding Sami Zayn, Otis went to the Intercontinental Champion’s locker room. The 32-year-old star apologized to Zayn for his actions. In response, the latter told Otis to leave Chad Gable as soon as possible. Further, the Canadian Superstar referenced his journey in The Bloodline where he was similarly tormented by the leader.
Speaking from his own experience, Zayn asked Otis to listen to the fans. Later, Gable revealed that he booked his teammate’s ticket for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Therefore, it is confirmed that Otis will be accompanying the Minneapolis-born star in his triple threat match.
The bout mentioned will feature Zayn defending his title against Gable and Bronson Reed. Given Otis’ growing frustration and anger toward his master, it is only a matter of time before the beloved star snaps at him. Having said that, it will be interesting to see if WWE pulls the trigger on this Saturday’s PLE.
