Nothing sells more than Conor McGregor in the MMA business. As anticipated, McGregor’s decision to withdraw his name from UFC 303 has generated a lot of buzz in recent days. Several experts have shared their opinions on the subject with Chael Sonnen having the wildest theory.

Chael Sonnen recently did his ESPN Show, Good Guy Bad Guy with UFC legend Daniel Cormier. During the conversation, the pair delved into Conor McGregor’s injury. Surprisingly, Sonnen went on a rant and revealed that McGregor is not injured but instead is in the middle of rehab.

McGregor’s not hurt. I don’t know if we’re making TV here, how much we’re supposed to play along…..What incredible irony that both sides have these massive interests in alcohol and one side is in the middle of rehab for substance abuse, including alcohol.

Given that McGregor has a history of frequent drinking and partying, Sonnen’s theory does hold some merit. The fighter recently made headlines when he was seen dancing in a pub instead of training. However, in a recent Instagram post, McGregor himself gave the fans an update on his injury.

With Dana White refusing to give any further information about Conor McGregor’s return, fans are currently in a big dilemma. Many are positive that McGregor is not coming back, for others the excitement is still there. It also includes UFC veteran Quinton ’Rampage’ Jackson.

Conor McGregor is the biggest superstar in the UFC and is an equal recipient of both overwhelming love and sharp criticism. The fighter revolutionized the MMA business and brought in a great number of fans. Many other legendary fighters such as Quinton Jackson are big fans of the ’Notorious’. Jackson recently did an interview with MMA Hour Show where he revealed that McGregor can do whatever he wants.

According to ‘Rampage’, McGregor is a millionaire and doesn’t have to take fighting seriously anymore. Rampage talked about his appreciation toward McGregor and how big of a fan he is. The veteran also mentioned that he is ready to wait for McGregor as long as it takes.

I think he’s done a lot for our sport, and made the sport more of a household name, I don’t give a f*** if he pulls out of fights. I’ll be here waiting when he comes back. I’m a big fan of Conor McGregor.

After his unfortunate leg injury at UFC 264, McGregor hasn’t entered the UFC octagon in three years. McGregor also made his Holloway debut with the ‘Road House’ movie during this time. Furthermore, the former double champ recently announced that he joined the BKFC co-ownership. It can be challenging for him to remain motivated to battle with everything going on in his life. Nevertheless, many believe that McGregor might not have given up just yet.
