“I’d rather go to San Antonio with those big ole’ women!” Charles Barkley apologizes to Beyonce’s mother after roasting Galveston
Charles Barkley wanted to send the 0-3 Pelicans to Galveston for their 'dirty water'.
Charles Barkley apologized to Beyonce's mother and Jay-Z for making fun of Galveston.
With being under pressure for getting swept in a playoff series, teams should also be prepared for getting called out by Hall of Famer Charles Barkley on national television. As the New Orleans Pelicans are one loss away from getting eliminated, the team got hilariously roasted by Barkley. However, Chuck’s remark triggered a completely different audience, as far as Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles.
The Pelicans lost their third consecutive game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, which pushed Charles Barkley to tell the team to go to Galveston’s ‘dirty water’. This did not sit well with Beyonce’s mother, who is from Galveston.
After learning this, on TNT’s broadcast, Barkley quickly apologized to her along with Beyoncé’s fanbase and Jay-Z. However, he stood firm on his dislike for Galveston.
Ms. Knowles, I don't want that smoke. I don't want the Beyhive and Jay after me... Let me tell you something, that water is so dirty I'd rather go to San Antonio with those big ole' women.Charles Barkley said
Despite Beyonce’s mother admitting that she was joking, Barkley decided to come clean and swiftly move his target from Galveston to San Antonio’s women. Shaquille O’Neal represented the viewers as the star lost it after Barkley referred to his classic San Antonio joke.

Charles Barkley is a part of Beyonce’s fandom ‘BeyHive’
Barkley was certainly under pressure after getting called out by Beyonce’s mother as he might get in trouble with the singer’s huge fanbase. However, to protect Barkley, TNT posted an old video of a broadcast to remind everyone that Barkley himself is a part of the ‘BeyHive’ fandom.
Last month, during the halftime of a regular season game, Barkley, being from Alabama, quickly recognized the country music playing in the background. Barkley was hyped for Beyonce’s ‘Texas Hold ’em’ and also dropped some knowledge about her album.

This feels like a good time to remind everyone that Chuck is a @Beyonce fan ??pic.twitter.com/naNFpWMYCL

Shaq gave his two cents in this situation as well as he called out Barkley for being in the ‘Hive’. Barkley clearly had nothing against the people of Texas, but his reaction to Beyonce’s mother made the situation much more hilarious. The situation also reminded the fans of another hilarious Shaq-Chuck moment.
