“I’d be damn near anorexic!” Charles Barkley hilariously reveals what he would do for $60 million NBA contract
Barkley had an amusing viewpoint while talking to Shannon Sharpe.

Charles Barkley made an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast “Club Shay Shay” where the subject of the NBA’s current players’ salary as compared to the past was discussed. And when Barkley was asked what he would do if he earned a whopping sum of $60 million, his response was, as expected, full of humor.
Barkley’s salary during his playing days was enough to get him to lose weight, as he humorously stated, and in the case where he earned what today’s players are earning, he said he would be anorexic.
I got in shape for $2 million. The money these guys are making today I'd be damn near anorexic for $60 million.Charles Barkley said to Shannon Sharpe
Charles Barkley was fondly called the Round Mound of Rebound due to his ability to rebound with so much ease and was a star of his generation, once winning the NBA MVP as well as numerous MVP selections. However, he was earning as much as players of the same attributes are today.
Furthermore, with players earning huge contracts aside from their endorsement and other side hustles, it just shows how lucrative and attractive the league has become. Who knows, Chuck might one day quit retirement, but he first has to lose some of his weight, though.
Charles Barkley says it’s too early to compare Anthony Edwards to Michael Jordan
Barkley was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show where he tried to tamper expectations leveled on Minnesota Timberwolves’ young guard Anthony Edwards, comparing him to Michael Jordan. Chuck felt it was too early for the comparison, as it would take Ant-Man 5 to 10 more years before he could be compared to the Chicago Bulls legend.
People forget he averaged 38 a game back when you could really knock the hell out of people. He averaged 38 points a game. People forget that and then you know, Anthony - who I love, he doesn't have to go through the Bad Boys Pistons when they just beat the hell out of you, three or four years in a row.Charles Barkley said
However, Barkley did express admiration for Edwards’ mentality during a post-game interview, likening it to the strong winning mentalities of MJ and the late Kobe Bryant.
Edwards was highly prolific as he led his young Timberwolves team to a clean sweep over the more experienced Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs. However, his MJ abilities would be tested when he comes up against the unbeatable Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals.
