Chelsea left back Marcos Alonso en route to big club in La Liga
Spanish international and Chelsea left full back Marcos Alonso is reportedly on the verge of signing up for Atletico Madrid in Spain.
The Spanish man is on the sidelines ever since the 3-3 draw at West Bromwich Albion and had a major fight with coach Frank Lampard.
Atletico Madrid interested in Marcos Alonso
With the winter transfer window to open in about 3 days Spanish giant’s Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in hiring the ousted Chelsea man.
Ever since the arrival of English international Ben Chilwell, Marcos Alonso is left on the bench. It’s no secret that Frank Lampard prefers a young attacking wing back and Marcos Alonso is slow to say the minimum.
Although a crucial man in Chelsea’s title winning season in 2016/17 under Antonio Conte, he’s currently not up to the required standard’s.
According to Marca a potential loan move ahead is being arranged for Alonso. However the term and clauses of the contract are not yet clear.
Italian club Juventus are also potentially interested in Marcos Alonso. But at the moment it looks like he will be returning to Spain.
Diego Simeone was quizzed ahead of the match against Getafe about Marcos Alonso and he smoothly avoided it.
