The latest discussion in the media concerning Manchester United recently has been the future of the star boy Alejandro Garnacho. Every report is basically stating that the Argentine wants to leave Old Trafford in the ongoing transfer window. Now, TYC Sports have reported that Premier League rivals Chelsea have placed an official offer to sign Garnacho in the ongoing window.
He was one of the important players in the squad under Erik Ten Hag. However, since Ruben Amorim has taken charge at Old Trafford, his minutes have gone down. Basically Garnacho has been brought from the bench for the most part. This has raised doubts regarding the future of the 20-year-old. The player is looking to make his exit permanent from Old Trafford, and Chelsea are looking to take the opportunity.
United are also looking to make a good profit from him, given that they are struggling financially. Chelsea have a lot of quality attackers, but Enzo Maresca is still looking to strengthen his attacking department. Getting a player of the quality of Garnacho with time on his side will be perfect for the Blues.
Manchester United want £70 million for the player, and the report states that the Blues have offered somewhere close to that figure. Alejandro Garnacho has scored three goals in 21 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season.
Overall, Alejandro Garnacho’s goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.24. Moreover, Garnacho’s total G/A (goals + assists) is four for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.31 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.38. This puts Garnacho’s npxG output at 4.75. The Blues might be meeting United’s price demands, but it remains to be seen if the club does sell him to a direct rival.
Journalist offers update on the fitness of Chelsea star Romeo Lavia
Journalist Kieran Gill has stated that Chelsea manager Maresca is optimistic of having Romeo Lavia back from injury for the final ten games of the season. The player moved from Southampton to Chelsea for a fee of £58 million in the summer of 2023.
However, his playing time has been reduced due to injury issues, and he has basically missed the entirety of the ongoing season so far.
Update on Romeo Lavia from Enzo Maresca: "I feel sad for him. We have 16 games of the (Premier League) season left and we hope to have Romeo back for the last 10." That would suggest mid-March for a return if correct timeframe from #CFC boss

Lavia has been on the sidelines for 13 games in the ongoing season. He was basically the best player of the club in the pre-season matches, and Chelsea were hoping for a lot from the player this season. However, it has been a huge setback for the club after his injury.
