On the day of the final, Chennai Super Stars captain Sachin Shiva decided to bat first upon winning the toss. However, the side’s start wasn’t ideal as they lost three quick wickets. However, the lower middle-order came up with some usual contributions with Santosh Kumar top-scoring with a 35 and Chennai reached a total of 147 runs, which was a competitive total on the wicket.

In reply, Kolkata came all guns blazing and looked to be on course for a victory, reaching 46/0 in the first six overs. However, two quick strikes brought Chennai back into the game. The choke was then applied and run-getting proved to be difficult for Kolkata as they finally managed only 124 runs in 20 overs. The hero for Chennai was Kailash Prasad who picked up three crucial wickets and he was awarded the Man of the Match.

The Divyang Premier League is set to be held in Sharjah next year as well.
