When LeBron James decided to leave his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, he had just one destination in mind. There was no way any other situation would interest him other than teaming up with close friends Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat.

The trio started with lofty goals, and had to be embarrassed by the Dirk Nowitzki-led Dallas Mavericks to know what it is to stay humble despite being superstars.

Two championships later, the trio broke up, leaving Bosh and Wade in Miami as James felt the need to return home and subsequently won the Cavaliers their first-ever NBA title.

The two Heat stars continued to play for the Florida-based franchise until Bosh started struggling with blood clots, which impacted various parts of his body.

He could not continue despite his attempts to come back and play, and officially retired in 2019. Since then, he has strived to live a healthy and happy life, which he has achieved.

The 41-year-old is known for his humble nature and is revered as a gentleman in a game that tends to be dominated by the egos of athletes. Now, that character is under attack after the 2-time champion was named in a lawsuit.

A California woman who worked as a personal assistant to former NBA star Chris Bosh is suing the Basketball Hall of Famer and his wife, claiming the two created a work environment so toxic, she now regularly suffers ‘debilitating panic attacks.’

The Independent revealed

The 34-year-old woman, Olga Kirpicheva, revealed that Chris Bosh’s wife, Adrienne, had used offensive language, along with screaming and yelling, as revealed in the lawsuit.

Chris Bosh allegedly turned a blind eye to assault attempts on the victim

Along with the allegations against his wife, Chris Bosh is also named as one of the defendants. They are not direct accusations, but rather ones alleging that he turned a blind eye to some incidents.

The Independent revealed that one of Bosh’s relatives, who also happened to be on the No. 4 overall pick’s payroll, had made inappropriate advances towards the victim. Olga Kirpicheva claims that the former Miami Heat star did nothing to stop this from happening.

The lawsuit also alleges that Chris Bosh looked the other way when a coach at his Indiana basketball camp made his way to the victim’s hotel room and inappropriately assaulted her. Kirpicheva claims the 11-time All-Star and the coach are friends.

When things went from bad to worse, the lawsuit alleges that the Boshes locked the Russian out of the apartment they provided her. She had to run to the court for help to retrieve her documents and belongings.

Olga Kirpicheva is seeking compensatory, general, statutory, punitive, exemplary, and special damages. She expects a jury to determine what she deserves, which should also cover her legal fees.

This is not the first time Chris Bosh has faced a lawsuit. His longtime chauffeur sued him for allegedly not paying him overtime, a charge Kirpicheva also mentions in her lawsuit.

Chris Bosh earned $239 million in his stellar NBA career

Chris Bosh was the No. 4 overall pick for the Toronto Raptors and delivered 7 seasons of playoff basketball. After becoming a free agent, he took less money to sign with the Miami Heat, as he prioritized championships.

He then paired with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to win 2 NBA titles. After the 2014 season, James left to return home, leaving Bosh and Wade to continue powering the Heat.

But the 6’ 11’ star’s health issues became an obstacle as the Heat did not make it to the playoffs in the next two seasons. Doctors warned Bosh to prioritize his health, and despite his attempts, he could not clear his physical exam.

Eventually, he retired in 2019, having amassed 11 All-Star appearances along with $239 million in career earnings. He finally decided to focus on his life after basketball.
