“Brandon Staley needs to start learning”- Chris Broussard on Los Angeles Chargers head coach

Justin Herbert

Chris Broussard on First Things First said, “Brandon Staley needs to start learning how to go with his gut feeling and not just the math. This isn’t trigonometry class, this is football.” Further, he added, “My gut tells me that because Raiders HC said they have talked about playing for the tie that’s why I was seeing in the Raiders that they were playing for the tie.

He believed that Raiders were not really trying to win as the time was running by and without any cheating, they would have played for the tie which would have helped both the teams to qualify for the playoffs.

‘When Staley called that timeout, It awoke the Raiders,” – Broussard believes that had Staley not called the timeout, Raiders would have not made the next play leading to the winning field goal which knocked out the Los Angeles Chargers from playoff contention.

He believes that timeout made Raiders realize that the Los Angeles Chargers HC is still trying to win the game by stopping the clock which motivated them to directly win the game and knock out their fierce division rivals the Los Angels Chargers.

A fantastic season by Justin Herbert got wasted

Chargers

Justin Herbert had an astonishing season for the Los Angeles Chargers as he threw for 5014 yards in the season while recording 38 touchdowns with 15 interceptions while having a passer rating of 97.7, Herbert also had 302 rushing yards with 3 rushing touchdowns this season.

The Los Angeles Chargers have no one but themselves to blame as they should have qualified for the playoffs because they have a better team and a superstar in making QB with Justin Herbert who was excellent throughout the season and would be hoping for a much better season next year.
