“Can we be serious?” – Chris Broussard claiming Jamal Murray deserves to be in the Hall of Fame if the Nuggets win a championship this year despite no all star appearances doesn’t sit well with fans
Jamal Murray sank two game-winners in the first round.

Jamal Murray
Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic have been the core of the Nuggets since Murray’s draft. The two have had multiple teammates come and go, however, the current starting five of the Nuggets seems to be the roster that the franchise wished to build. Being the reigning champs, the Nuggets, who have now advanced to the second round will look to defend their title this year.
In getting past the Lakers in five games, Jamal Murray has been a crucial part of the team. Murray has done an excellent job in transitions, scoring through multiple defenders, and most importantly, sinking two game-winners, one of which sent the Lakers home. According to Chris Broussard, the 27-year-old Canadian deserves to be in the Hall of Fame if the Nuggets manage to win it all this year.
If they win the championship this year, he's a Hall of Famer... One of the reasons he hasn't made an All-Star team yet. One, he's had some injuries, so he's been out. Two, the West is just so deep with guards. And so, he is an All-Star caliber player everybody knows that.Broussard on First Things First.
So far into his career, Jamal Murray has not made an All-Star appearance. One of the accolades that stand out other than his championship is his All-Rookie team selection. However, fans did not agree with Broussard’s take, as the lack of an All-Star selection has had a lot of negative impact on the take.
Fans on Twitter won’t recognize Jamal Murray as a Hall of Famer
Broussard’s take might’ve been slightly bent toward Murray’s tenure in Denver. The Canadian has been playing for the Nuggets since the start, becoming one of the elite guards in the league during the process. However, he couldn’t manage to make an All-Star team in his eight-year career so far.
A lot of it has to do with his development being paused due to injuries. Murray missed the entirety of the 2021-22 season due to an ACL injury. Before that, he played his best basketball in the 2019-2020 season, where the Nuggets faced the Lakers in the Conference Finals. Murray was phenomenal in that series, putting up great numbers and being the most efficient he had ever been from the field as well as from deep.
It will be interesting to see how far the Nuggets go this year in the postseason. Murray and Nikola Jokic look forward to the Minnesota Timberwolves who recently swept the Suns in the first round. Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals is scheduled on Saturday, as the Nuggets will host the Wolves.
