Cincinnati Masters 2024 Draw

First Quarter

Top seed Jannik Sinner has been drawn in the first quarter with Andrey Rublev, Taylor Fritz, and Ugo Humbert as the other seeded players. While the Italian ace has received a bye in the first round, Sinner might face Tallon Griekspoor in the second round. However, there is a chance that Sinner might pull out of the Masters tournament.

This means Humbert, who will open his campaign against Jordan Thompson and might face Marcos Giron in the second round, could meet Griekspoor in the third round. American ace Fritz will meet Brandon Nakashima in the first round while Rublev has received a bye.

Frenchman Humbert looks like a certainty for the quarterfinals with no major hurdle for him until the third round. Meanwhile, Fritz and Rublev will fight for the second spot. It will be a closely-fought match but Rublev is expected to pip his American opponent considering his recent form.

Second Quarter

The second quarter features third seed Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Grigor Dimitrov, and Sebastian Korda as the seeded players. While Zverev has been given a bye, Korda opens his campaign against Pablo Carreno Busta. The American who recently claimed the title in Washington might face Tomas Machac in the second round.

Meanwhile, Zverev will be waiting for the winner of the match between Karen Khachanov and Francisco Cerundolo. In the second half of the second quarter, Shelton opens his campaign against Reilly Opeka and is expected to meet Matteo Arnaldi or Tomas Martin Etcheverry later. Dimitrov, meanwhile, will play his first match in the second round against Fabian Marozsan.

For the quarterfinals, Zverev, who won the tournament in 2021, looks certain based on his current form. Meanwhile, eighth seed Dimitrov is expected to topple Shelton to book a clash against Zverev.

In the second round, Hukracz is expected to face Miomir Kecmanovic with Paul set to meet Alejandro Tabilo. Medvedev and Musetti are expected to face Jiri Lehecka and Frances Tiafoe respectively.

Medvedev is certain to make it to the quarterfinals considering his record on the hard courts. The Russian will potentially meet Paul who is expected to defeat Hurkacz in the race to the quarterfinals.

Fourth Quarter

Seventh-seed Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Carlos Alcaraz, and Holger Rune are the four seeded players drawn in the fourth quarter. Alcaraz and Rudd have a first-round bye while Rune and Tsitstipas face Matteo Berrettini and Jan-Lennard Struff respectively in the first round.

Tsitsipas is then expected to face Briton Jack Draper in the second round. Rune, who has not been in his best form this season is expected to make it to the second round where he will be facing Adrian Mannarino. Alcaraz and Ruud, meanwhile, will be facing Alexei Popyrin and Felix Auger-Aliassime respectively.

Spaniard Alcaraz, who recently clinched the silver medal at the Paris Olympics and also made it to the final here last year, is certain to make it to the quarterfinals while Tsitsipas and Ruud will fight for the second slot. The Norwegian will be the favorite to win this match against Tsitsipas.
