NXT is considered a third brand of WWE. From once being called the ‘developmental territory’, NXT has become a pretty interesting show that has made its mark on the fans. It can be said that a part of the credit goes to Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, who has been working as the Lead Creative of NXT. However, there is one star who might replace Michaels in the years to come.

During the Fanatics Fest in NYC, CM Punk addressed the question of replacing Shawn Michaels as the Lead Creative of NXT. He said that he would like to work under the leadership of the Heartbreak Kid. The Second City Saint added that he would enjoy learning from the Hall of Famer rather than taking over his spot in NXT.

I mean, baby steps... I would love to work underneath Shawn at some point. It’s not like I want Shawn to go away and just ‘here, take over’, I would want to learn from him, and see how he operates and how he does things.

Moreover, the Best in the World averred that Triple H really trusts Shawn Michaels and lets him have his take on the White and Gold brand. It gives HBK the liberty to manage the show. The Straight Edge Superstar added, therefore, that he plans to soak up as much knowledge as he can get from the two professionals in this before his steps as a leader of any of the brands.

The Voice of the Voiceless has shown up on NXT a couple of times since his return in November 2023. He showed up at NXT Deadline to kick off the show. In fact, he is also going to be a part of the NXT in Chicago in October later this year. Besides, Punk has made a name for himself amongst the young talents on the White and Gold show which might help him to lead the brand down the line.

CM Punk addressed the criticism towards him

CM Punk has been a controversial superstar throughout his career. He has been involved in beef with a lot of stars in professional wrestling. A few years ago, he was even called a ‘cancer’ to sports entertainment by none other than Seth Rollins. The Best in the World recently answered all the criticism and hate towards him.

Speaking on The Masked Man Show, the Second City Saint said all the disrespect towards him is from the people who don’t like him. He added that he has been good towards the people who are fine with him. The Straight Edge Superstar went on to say that the people who cannot control him spread these lies against his reputation.

That's all bullshit. None of that stuff is reality. 'Oh, he's a cancer.' Listen, not everybody gets nice me. I treat you accordingly. If you're a piece of shit, and you act that way to me, I will treat you that way. If you're nice, you're smiling, you want to have a good time, let's have a good time. I'm all hugs.

Besides, the Best in the World has been changed forever since he returned last year. He has ensured that there are going to be no such incidents like his past. Furthermore, he has been working pretty well in this run. Following SummerSlam, he might face Drew McIntyre at Bash in Berlin in a strap match at the age of 45.
