Cody Rhodes and CM Punk on SmackDown [via- Wrestle Ops on X]
CM Punk pulled off double duty for WWE this week. After being slapped by Logan Paul on Raw, The Second City Saint journeyed to SmackDown. The show was centered around a number of coworkers lending their advice to Cody Rhodes before he answers The Rock at Elimination Chamber. Rhodes bumped into Punk backstage, where the latter pulled Cody aside for a chat.
The Chicagoan asserted that his younger self would’ve accepted Rock’s offer in a heartbeat. But he’s grown wise enough to realize that he’s glad that offer never came to him, added Punk. The latter said he hates Dwayne Johnson. But then the former AEW star told Rhodes to take the offer, which caught the WWE Champ off guard.
Punk continued saying to accept the offer, turn it sideways, and shove it up to Rock’s part-time Hollywood candy a**. Before Cody could say anything, The Best in the World claimed he didn’t say anything to influence him. Punk told Rhodes to make the best decision for himself.
Take the offer… and shine it up real good, turn it sideways and shove it up his part-time Hollywood candy a**

Before leaving, the Straight Edge Superstar vowed to win the Elimination Chamber and face The American Nightmare in the main event of WrestleMania 41. That wasn’t the only interaction these two men have had this year. In fact, they met on the final Raw before the Royal Rumble.
Back then, Punk and Cody exchanged some cold blows. Punk alluded to the onus of carrying the WWE title with pride having begun to outweigh the instincts of The Prodigal Son. And being Cody’s only true friend, The Voice of the Voiceless stated that he’d stab the erstwhile AEW EVP in the front if he had to.
The Rock surprised Cody Rhodes on SmackDown with announced cameo
After getting some pep-talk from CM Punk, Cody Rhodes headed to the ring to give his final thoughts. Veteran WWE play-by-play Michael Cole enlisted the litany of perks that’d come by if Rhodes does indeed accede to The Rock at Elimination Chamber.

Cole said Cody would then get days off at will, would no longer need to work live events, and most importantly, would get to spend more time with his family. Michael then unveiled a gift that Rock had sent for Rhodes—a Raptor truck with Cody’s American Nightmare logo engraved on it.

The Final Boss appeared via satellite and showed up with a diabolical weight belt with Dusty Rhodes‘ date of demise written over it. Rock mentioned that he was heartbroken when The American Dream passed away. The Great One asked his son to not break him again and take up his deal.
