“Lot of people gunning for him,” CM Punk warns Cody Rhodes after his historic victory at WrestleMania XL

Cody Rhodes made history when he won the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion title at WrestleMania XL. It was a memorable moment, as it was cherished by many of his peers and personalities from WWE. Now, the Best in the World, CM Punk, has given some golden advice to the American Nightmare after finishing his story.
Speaking in a post-WrestleMania interview with ESPN, the Second City Saint warned Cody Rhodes of the challenges to come shortly. He stated that it was easier to get to the top than to be at the top. The Straight Edge Superstar added that for Rhodes, it was a hard journey to win the Undisputed Championship. Therefore, there are going to be several challenges for him after this huge win.

Besides, CM Punk was one of the superstars who came into the ring to endorse the newly won Cody Rhodes. These were a few golden words of advice shared by the Best in the World for the American Nightmare. Furthermore, he also named this new era of WWE as the ‘Cody Rhodes Era’. Also, the Voice of the Voiceless was emotional after Rhodes picked up the victory and celebrated in the closing moments of the Show of Shows in Philadelphia.
In January, Second City Saint had a rugged interaction with the two-time Royal Rumble winner. Fans have been really excited to see the program of the two stars afterwards. Only time will tell if Cody and Punk will face each other in the future or not. However, Rhodes and The Rock too had an interesting interaction this week on Raw.
Cody Rhodes talked about potential retirement from wrestling
Cody Rhodes has been on a roll in WWE lately. It is certain to say that he is the top star of the company right now. With so many dream matches and title defenses in the future, retirement is a less likely thought that would come to mind for a person. However, the American Nightmare has a plan for retirement at the moment.

Speaking on the MMA Hour, Rhodes stated that he wants to be with his family when his daughter is around 10. Therefore, it will not be like a permanent retirement. However, he would like to work on a different schedule than his current one. Besides, he added that his initial plan was to hang up his boots at age 40. However, this is not the case now, as his future is not foreseeable.

Furthermore, the Undisputed WWE champion signed a new contract weeks before WrestleMania XL. Therefore, for the next few years, he is not going anywhere. It is going to be interesting to see where the future of the beloved Rhodes is headed after this moment.
