Cody Rhodes was recently taken aback after being presented with a 16-year-old trading card featuring the ‘QB1’ himself and his late father Dusty Rhodes‘ signatures on it. As one could see in the following post by Topps, the ‘American Nightmare’ affirmed that he doesn’t have much of any stuff containing both his and his dad’s imprints.

The former two-time Undisputed WWE Champion placed the trading card right beside his heart, where he’d tattooed “Dream” in 2016 to honor the legacy of his legendary father. Rhodes said he absolutely loved the gift, and it goes without saying that he’ll cherish it for the rest of his life. While this moment did put a huge smile on Rhodes’ face, at least momentarily, he’s had a tough time of late.

Cody Rhodes lost the Undisputed WWE title to Drew McIntyre shortly ago in a Three Stages of Hell match on SmackDown after a returning Jacob Fatu interfered in the closing moments. This past Friday, ‘The Prodigal Son’ received palpable boos from a pro-McIntyre British crowd in London. Rhodes acknowledged the mixed reactions and even admitted that he’d started feeling “episodic” to the audience.

Reviewing the situation he’s in currently, Mark Henry gave his analysis of the less popular road that Rhodes would have to embark on for redemption. Speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, the ‘World’s Strongest Man’ believed that ‘The American Nightmare’ has established himself as a tweener on WWE television.

It could be deduced from the fact that the North Carolina native has been receiving quite polarizing fan reactions in recent memory, especially outside of the US. Henry said he doesn’t see the ex-AEW EVP winning the Royal Rumble match for the third straight year.

It’d automatically force him to put his body through the wrath of the Elimination Chamber and outlast his competition to crawl his way back into the world title picture at WrestleMania 42. A new report from Dave Meltzer has already ruled out the trilogy-completing Cody Rhodes showdown with Roman Reigns at this year’s WrestleMania.

Cody Rhodes’ Wife Reacts to His Brawl with Jacob Fatu on SmackDown

After vowing to earn a world title rematch with Drew McIntyre the hard way on this week’s SmackDown, Cody Rhodes called out Jacob Fatu, saying he was due for the biggest receipt that Rhodes had ever handed out to anyone. Later on, the two of them engaged in a massive brawl and kept swinging at each other until the security barged in.

WWE eventually confirmed a singles match between Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24. Rhodes’ wife, Brandi, has reacted to that segment involving her husband and ‘The Samoan Werewolf’. Taking to X, she simply posted an emoji of a receipt.

Brandi has time and again been pretty vocal about anything involving the ‘QB1’ in WWE, and her latest dig at Rhodes’s beef with Fatu just proved it further. The fans are loosely linking Fatu’s disdain of Rhodes to the latter supposedly ambushing ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ back in October 2025. WWE has yet to unearth that mystery, though.

Fatu apparently believes that McIntyre is behind his attack, which is why the former US Champion attacked the Scot first after returning toward the end of The Three Stages of Hell match on SmackDown.

Despite McIntyre’s continued denial of knocking out Jacob Fatu’s teeth, the former Bloodline member isn’t buying it at all. Some conspiracy theories say that Rhodes might’ve taken out Fatu, but many critics are questioning its logical purpose.
