Cody Rhodes got brutalized inside his tour bus by Drew McIntyre on this week’s SmackDown in the opening minutes of the show. That shot of a bruised Rhodes lying on the doorstep of his bus with McIntyre revealing himself as the culprit has been posted by Paul Heyman on X. However, the WWE Hall of Famer used an AI-morphed version of it to add an anime-like layer.

It could be considered as Heyman’s response to the havoc Rhodes created even after getting pummeled by McIntyre on SmackDown. ‘The American Nightmare’ cost Bronson Reed his first-round matchup against Carmelo Hayes in The Last Time is Now tournament. ‘The Wiseman’ couldn’t believe what he’d seen in front of his eyes. Hayes even trolled the Vision’s manager in a follow-up post on social media.

Heyman has indeed assembled all the heavy hitters, with the likes of Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed looking like an impenetrable squad. However, that doesn’t guarantee a win at all.

The addition of Roman Reigns to the team previously comprising CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos has made the lineups pretty even-steven. On the upcoming episode of Raw, Reigns has been officially announced to open the show. The fans could definitely expect the rest of his team members to confront ‘The Tribal Chief’.

While Reigns appears to be at peace with his cousins Jimmy and Jey for now, Reigns’ inevitable interactions with Rhodes and Punk would be the ones to look out for. Last week, after Raw went off air, Reigns and Punk exchanged some strong words with each other. Those men clearly don’t see eye to eye with each other.

Could Drew McIntyre crawl back into the title picture with Cody Rhodes after WarGames?

The feud between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre began in August, and they have since battled on numerous occasions. They first collided for the Undisputed WWE title at Wrestlepalooza. In a match that failed to live up to fan expectations, Rhodes found a way to retain the gold in a finish that saw the referee slightly favoring the champ at ringside.

The match official came in McIntyre’s way to stop him from landing a Claymore kick on Rhodes through the hood of the table. ‘The Scottish Warrior’ would rant about the biased refereeing in subsequent weeks. It eventually led to their rematch at Saturday Night’s Main Event with the stipulation that Rhodes would lose his title even via count-out or disqualification.

The stipulation worked against McIntyre, as he ended up on the receiving end of it. ‘The Prodigal Son’ hit the Ayr-born wrestler with a DDT on the top of the WWE title, which McIntyre had brought into the ring to use to his advantage. Rhodes, once again, managed to pin the hulking specimen from Scotland in a creative decision that upset a number of fans.

Just when it appeared like this feud was over, WWE inserted both men in the WarGames match. Even though McIntyre has succumbed to a couple of pinfall losses against Rhodes of late, ‘The Chosen One’ could still turn it around for himself if he picks up the win for his team at Survivor Series. Pinning Rhodes would automatically put McIntyre back in the world title contention after the WarGames saga.
