The fans keep sending their love to Cody Rhodes. It doesn’t need to be stressed how immensely popular the Undisputed WWE Champion is among wrestling fanatics. Speaking of fanatics, there was a fest of that sort in NYC last weekend. Cody received a bunch of gifts, notably fan-made bracelets. However, it seems like he missed out on one. But Rhea Ripley took care of it.
Sharing a photo on his Instagram story, The American Nightmare updated that he had indeed received that lone bracelet, thanking Rhea Ripley in the process. The latter was also a hot ticket at Fanatics Fest. She flaunted a hand full of bracelets on social media that the fans had gifted her. Needless to say, both Rhodes and Ripley are the faces of their respective divisions on the WWE roster.
On one hand, Mami is engrossed in a highly-personal feud with ex-boyfriend Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan. Rhea will team up with her Terror Twin Damian Priest to take on Dom and Liv at Bash in Berlin. As for Cody, he’s set to defend his Undisputed WWE title against Kevin Owens at the same PLE. Tonight on SmackDown, Rhodes will stop by the Grayson Waller Effect following a recent social media exchange with The Aussie Icon.
Rhodes will look to stay focused on the task at hand, i.e., the upcoming title defense against Owens in Berlin. Up until now, The Prizefighter hasn’t laid a finger on his good friend. But who knows how long this camaraderie is going to last? After all, Kevin is going to compete for the top prize on SmackDown next weekend in Germany. Fans believe that at some point or another, Owens will turn his back on The Prodigal Son.
What does Cody Rhodes think of a match with John Cena?
John Cena will retire from WWE as an in-ring performer by the end of 2025. However, as he confirmed recently, Cena will remain a part of the company owing to a new deal he has signed with them. But first things first, he’s going to wrestle a number of matches before he calls it a day.
If he were to cater to each and every single plea his fellow WWE Superstars have filed, John would run out of gas, as there’s a ton of them. Add Cody Rhodes to that list as well. He was asked about potentially facing John Cena during his farewell tour.
Cody said that it’d be the honor of his life. For the unversed, the former AEW EVP did ask Cena for a match last year when The Peacemaker star made an appearance on Raw in Boston prior to WrestleMania 39.
