Colby Covington parties hard in Las Vegas to celebrate his victory over Jorge Masvidal

Colby Covington ensured that he parties hard right after his UFC 272 victory. Colby effectively used his wrestling to smother Jorge and control the fight. His dominance in all 5 rounds meant that he was the victor of the Battle for Miami.
Merely hours after his victory Colby was seen at XS Nightclub at the Wynn Hotel to celebrate his victory. Covington, who never travels alone, is often seen with a group of girls and friends as a part of his shtick and he didn’t disappoint as he showed up to the party with around 40 friends. Colby was given a king’s welcome including a ‘Miami King’ letter card. Colby went to the DJ booth and partied it up with music celebrity Marshmello. However it seems like the champions partying ways were just a part of his gimmick as unlike most who go out partying he left soon. Colby left after about an hour of partying to recoup back at home.
Colby doesn’t seem thrilled with his performance even though he came out with the victory. He says that it was a very emotional fight, after Jorge and him were once teammates, roommates and cornered each other. He believes he wasn’t able to showcase his skills to the best and looks forward to doing so the next time he’s in the octagon.
While his performance was dominant and there isn’t a question who the better fighter is it could have been a better outing. However he’s still the King of Miami now and has called for Jorge to leave Miami immediately as Miami isn’t big enough for the both of them.

The Next Step for Colby Covington?
Covington now ranks second in the welterweight category, while Kamaru Usman still retains his No. 1 title. Covington’s recent win puts him back in the race for the title. Hold on to your breaches because it will be a long time before Covington faces “The Nigerian Nightmare”. If Covington defeats the winner of UFC 273, one can expect the match sooner or later.
Usman is more than willing to fight Colby Covington. He hints in an interview about a possible trilogy fight against “Chaos”. With a front row seat to UFC 272, between two fighters against whom he has defended his title twice, Kamaru already predicted that Colby would have the edge over Masvidal.
There still lies a possibility that both these wrestlers could have other pitstops along the way. Covington has been trying to provoke Dustin Poirier to a challenge, that could happen later on this year. Even Kamaru Usman talked about a possible showdown that could take place between him and Canelo Alvarez in the boxing ring.
