Colby Covington has no plans to fight against Ian Garry despite the Irishman’s frequent callouts. Fight fans expected the ‘Chaos’ to sign the fight with Garry given the history behind the fighters. However, Covington had different plans. Covington just wants Ian Garry to do some simple things to land a potential fight.

Colby Covington recently appeared on the Submission Radio YouTube channel and talked about his potential fights. Talking about Ian Garry, the welterweight revealed his few stipulations for the fighter. 

All I told him to was turn on the comments, how hard it is to flip a little button up and down. It's too easy.

Garry turned off the comments on his official Instagram account in the midst of the controversy related to his wife, Layla Anna-Lee. The fighter also did that to stay away from negativity from fans after withdrawal from a scheduled fight at UFC 296.

The history between Garry and Covington goes way back and has worsened over time. Since then, Garry has called out Covington on various occasions. Recently, Garry accused Covington of ducking him for the upcoming UFC 303 co-main event.

Ian Garry goes off at Colby Covington for badmouthing his wife 

Colby Covington is well known for his trash talk and now it has become a significant part of his personality. The fighter took it to the next level during the pre-fight press conference at UFC 296, the fighter made a slur comment on Ian Garry’s wife.

After that, the feud between Covington and Garry involved various back-and-forths. While responding to them, Garry made a video on his Instagram account. 

Listen here, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington, you are in no position to tell me what I should be doing in life. You’ll do as you’re told. You gave me three stipulations, all of which had nothing to do about fighting and were all talking about my wife. I don’t know how you were raised, but women aren’t property and my wife definitely ain’t no trophy

Over time, Colby Covington has stuck to his demands in order to sign a contract against Ian Garry. However, now fans have gotten tired of it and so has Covington. The fighter has already moved on from Garry and talked about other future fight choices.
