The 2023 NASCAR season witnessed the debut of stock car racing’s most promising prodigy Connor Zilisch in the Truck and the Xfinity Series. He even won his debut Xfinity race at Watkins Glen. Zilisch has already secured a full-time seat for the 2025 season, with his parent team Trackhouse Racing and Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s JR Motorsports entering a partnership to field the No:88 Chevy for him.

The 18-year-old will mark history in the 2025 season, as he is set to make Cup series debut as well. Trackhouse Racing will field a fourth car for him at COTA, for his debut. The venture was made possible by Red Bull, who sponsors some of the best racer in the world including reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen.

Connor Zilisch has been a Red Bull athlete for the last few seasons, and the new deal would mark the brands return to the sports after almost two decades. Ironically Red Bull left the sport in 2006, the same year Zilisch was born. His veteran Trackhouse Racing teammate and three times Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen is also Red Bull sponsored racer.

I never thought I’d get the opportunity to race in the NASCAR Cup Series, let alone debut at 18 years old. I’m so fortunate to be surrounded by great companies like [Red Bull] and [Trackhouse Racing]. COTA is only 38 days away, let’s go!
