These fans are desperate to see McGregor again inside the octagon. Unfortunately, recent developments about his comeback show otherwise.
Conor McGregor‘s last fight was in 2021, when he broke his leg and was sidelined for three years. Earlier this year, an injury ruined his fight with Michael Chandler. There was hope after UFC 303 didn’t go as planned. He wanted to fight in December, but Chandler moved on. This leaves ‘Notorious’ with no confirmed opponent for a comeback.
On top of it, McGregor’s casual attitude isn’t helping fans to gain trust in his determination to come back. The Irish fighter recently liked a tweet that essentially said, ”bro Conor McGregor is never coming back to MMA.” If not MMA, McGregor recently talked about his interest in boxing, which could be a hint of his next move.
This has concerned the MMA world, who had awaited to see him return. McGregor’s recent admission hinted at his comeback in 2025 during his visit to Wembley Stadium for Anthony Joshua‘s bout against Daniel Dubois. The new plan for 2025 could hint at a rebooking of the Chandler vs. McGregor bout, as the American star will be free after UFC 309.
