Since then, McGregor has not participated in any MMA fights. Currently, the outlook for his comeback fight seems bleak.

Recently, he shared an update on his X account, featuring a picture of a pair of Nike soccer boots. Along with the photo, the Irishman’s caption said, “Today we ball,” followed by an interesting comment under the post characteristic of his usual style.

After UFC 264, McGregor was scheduled to make his comeback against Michael Chandler at UFC 303. Unfortunately, he withdrew from the fight due to a foot injury. Following this setback, McGregor expressed his desire to return to the UFC and compete in 2025. However, recent reports surrounding the Irishman indicate that McGregor may be in negotiations for a potential boxing match next.
