Last month, BKFC KnuckleMania 5 took place at Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia and turned into a massive success. Riding that momentum, the promotion delivered another thrilling event in Dubai, showcasing top-tier talent and intense bare-knuckle matchups. As expected, McGregor was present to promote the event and expressed admiration for the fighters’ incredible performances.

BKFC 72 took place on April 5, 2025, at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, featuring intense action and two title bouts. In the main event, Kai Stewart defended his BKFC Featherweight Championship, dominating Tommy Strydom with two knockdowns and winning unanimously. Judges scored the bout 50-43 for Stewart, marking his fourth successful title defense and showcasing his continued dominance in the division.

The co-main event crowned Jessica Borga as the inaugural Women’s Featherweight Champion after she knocked out Hannah Rankin in 32 seconds. Borga landed a devastating right hand early in the first round, sealing her victory with one of the night’s fastest finishes. Nico Gaffie stopped Brandon Allen with a fourth-round TKO, demonstrating powerful striking and effective pressure as the fight progressed.

Other than this, Vladislav Tuinov impressed fans with a quick first-round knockout, finishing Sabri Ben Henia in just 26 seconds. John Phillips overwhelmed veteran Fabio Maldonado, scoring a knockout just 29 seconds into the second round. The event had many other knockout finishes, which drew major attention. This is everything that BKFC had promised, and McGregor seemed extremely pleased with it.
