UFC CEO Dana White agreed to a $300K bonus for UFC 300 immediately after a media member requested it. He had earlier accepted the request to have Mark Coleman put the belt around the winner of Justin Gaethje vs. Max Holloway for the BMF title. Irish superstar Conor McGregor was impressed and praised White.
Nobody expected Dana White to agree to give out a $300K bonus. The UFC CEO revealed that the Alex Pereira headlining PPV will generate more than $15 million in live gate revenue. As such, the $1.2 million cumulative bonus money is nothing. Nonetheless, Conor McGregor expressed his happy thoughts about raising the bonus.
Huge shout out @danawhite and the @ufc upping the bonuses to $300k! Life changing money for many on the card. To look after your fighters is paramount! God speed Dana and team at @ufc, onwards and upwards! What a time to be alive! Have a great showing ladies and gents.Conor McGregor via X
McGregor will likely make his return at UFC 303 on the International Fight Week. Even though not officially announced, he will face Michael Chandler. It will be almost three years since his last appearance when he steps into the octagon. The Irishman felt the excitement when the UFC CEO announced the bonus increase and could be itching to return to the octagon.
Before White announced Jamahal Hill vs. Alex Pereira as the main event of UFC 300, McGregor was one of the names rumored to headline it. Nonetheless, like UFC 300, the UFC 303 PPV on International Fight Week is also a grand event.
Conor McGregor wants customized shorts
The UFC does not offer customized shorts for all its athletes. Only the special ones have the privilege. Bryce Mitchell and Sean O’Malley were among the first to get customized shorts. Moreover, four fighters got customized shorts for the upcoming UFC 300.
Now, Conor McGregor has expressed interest in having one for him as well. Since the Irishman is the biggest superstar in combat sports, he will likely get what he wants. Interestingly, McGregor’s choice of shorts is apt, considering his star power. Nonetheless, for fight fans, it doesn’t matter if McGregor gets the shorts or not. They just want to see him in action inside the octagon.

Since McGregor has generated more PPV buys and money than any other person, his choice of shorts is apt. McGregor has headlined the top 3 PPVs that generated the biggest gate. However, there is a chance that he will lose one of those spots as UFC 300 will generate a $15 million gate for sure. Nevertheless, the number one spot still belongs to ‘The Notorious’ one.
