The combat sports world just got a whole lot more interesting and potentially chaotic. The $200 million worth fight game’s biggest star, Conor McGregor, has staked his claim in the rising Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).

Conor McGregor made the announcement during a recent BKFC event broadcast. The outspoken Irishman made a surprise announcement that he and his company, McGregor Sports and Entertainment, are now official owners of the gloves-off promotion.

Ladies and gentlemen the huge announcement I have for you today, Conor McGregor, myself, and McGregor Sports and Entertainment is now an owner of BKFC. Welcome to the big leagues.

The move pits the former UFC champ-champ directly against his UFC boss, Dana White. He essentially established the BKFC as a potential rival to the industry-leading UFC. McGregor himself didn’t create the BKFC, like some other promotions by fighters like Eagle FC by Khabib Nurmagomedov and Real Fight Inc. by Nate Diaz. However, his flair and charisma make this part of ownership a big boost to the popularity of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

BKFC has carved out a niche among hardcore fight fans who are craving savagery. No gloves mean more blood, bigger cuts, and all the grisly consequences. It’s a form of fighting with no ground game or wrestling involved. This means all striking and excitement. McGregor had expressed his desire to fight in the BKFC before the end of his career.

Michael Chandler gives props as well as a warning to Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor continues to prove that he’s the ultimate “Notorious” businessman. The Irishman recently revealed his latest venture, the co-ownership of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). However, according to Michael Chandler, McGregor’s new side hustle won’t amount to much if he can’t get past Chandler on June 29.

Chandler seemed impressed with McGregor’s drive to make stuff happen. He gave him props for expanding his business and making deals continuously. But he also gave him a stern warning.

Conor out here making moves...Hate it or love it, the dude is making stuff happen. With that being said, I KO him within 10 min. on June 29 at #UFC303.

Chandler has kept his eyes laser-focused on his bout with McGregor. Realistically though, McGregor needs this fight with Chandler to re-establish his reign as the UFC’s unbeaten draw. Chandler’s warning shouldn’t be taken lightly. Fight fans would be ecstatic to see these two finally go at it on June 29, UFC 303.
