There is no bigger rivalry in UFC than the one between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. The series of events that happened before the fight and after Khabib winning the fight shoes very clearly that there was a lot of bad blood between these two. Even today both of them never leave any chance to humiliate each other.

Conor McGregor is making his return to the Octagon against Dustin Poirier that is scheduled in January 2021. It is also speculated that the winner of this fight is going to be the number one contender. But Khabib has already denied that he is not going to fight Conor at any cost. Everything between them is already finished that night when Khabib ended Conor.

The rematch between the two is what the MMA fans strive for but Khabib isn’t willing to face Conor again. Despite this, both of these have taken the route of social media to attack each other many times.

Conor McGregor justified his loss in his recent series of Tweets answering people who think Khabib completely dominated him in this fight. He says, “On the Mula! Round 1’s mine. Out struck 3-1. Elbow, knees, clatters! He held on. 2s his but I land multiple knees. One from standing after the overhand, and one from the bottom into the eye socket at kimura attempt. Not a scratch end of the round also. I won round 3, and 4 until the trip.”

He also added, “Damage! Backhands forced him to the fence. Knee into the neck as he shot, after 15 seconds of the opening bell. Heavy elbow right into his temple as he froze after his shot. Repeated clatters to the temple while he tries his mermaid wrap leg. Rd was 1 pitiful from him. Rd 2 saved him.”

The Eagle landed 104 total strikes on The Notorious in this fight with 70 significant strikes of 58% accuracy. With this, he also secured 12:15 minutes of control time in the ground. Conor made a good case of winning some rounds against Khabib but none of these really matters now as Khabib forced him to tap out and all Conor can do is hope for a rematch.
