Conor McGregor had a piece of advice for Ryan Garcia after loss to Gervonta Davis
The fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis was an exciting one. Davis went on to win the fight via TKO in the seventh round. The 25-year-old Garcia believed the weight stipulation significantly hindered his performance against “Tank.” Even Conor McGregor wanted to see it run back again, but with a stipulation.

Conor McGregor was backstage with Garcia and his team. He motivated the young boxer to bounce back and keep his head high. McGregor’s wish for Garcia to rematch Davis was one thing that stuck out.
I wanna see it again. I wanna see it again with no rehydration clause.Conor McGregor via backstage footage at Davis vs. Garcia
A rehydration clause in boxing is a contractual agreement between two boxers. This clause restricts a boxer from gaining weight after the official weigh-in. This will restrict a fighter’s water intake after the weigh-ins. McGregor felt the rehydration played a part in Garcia’s loss.
Without rehydration, a fighter will not fight at his very best with Garcia’s performance against Davis indicating as such. He did not perform well against ‘Tank.’ Moreover, without any such clauses, Garcia performed much better against Haney. As such, it remains to be seen if ‘King Ry’ goes for a rematch against Gervonta Davis without a rehydration clause.
