Dillon Danis is about to face further complications in his ongoing legal battle with Nina Agdal. The ex-Bellator fighter ran into trouble after targeting Logan Paul’s fiancée as part of his promotion for their October 2023 boxing match. The Misfits x DAZN X Series 10: The Prime Card performance fell flat, as does his hope in this lawsuit.
It’s a karmic tit-for-tat on the scales, as the Pauls presently welcomed their daughter Esmé Agdal Paul. Losing his WWE US Championship strap at The PLE, the Ohio ‘Maverick’ is well off in domestic bliss. Meanwhile, Dillon Danis may have to change counsel. In the ongoing Nina Agdal lawsuit, his lawyers have filed a motion with the judge for withdrawal.
In the latest twist, Danis’s lawyers have now filed a lawsuit that the respondent failed to honor the terms of the retainer. That is not surprising, given Dillon Danis would rather keep on tweeting than turn up in court or pay. After the alleged “breakdown in communication with the defendant,” Danis’ lead attorney, Mark Berman, on behalf of Hartmann Doherty Rosa Berman & Bulbulia LLP, filed a motion to withdraw.
Well his attorneys filed a motion to withdraw as his counsel but that's still pending with the courts so I'm not sure if he's retained a new lawyer yet.

In the petition for withdrawal, lawyers state that he has been delinquent in the payment of the firm’s monthly invoices. He might have had some chores to get to promptly. It makes one suspect that Danis is not doing well, dough-wise.
Without a booking or promotion to get back to, he can’t even maintain contractual payment per his retainer. This is reportedly a recurring problem; an MMA return might help. However, the misery of the alleged miser, hoarding retainer money, does not end.
Dillon Danis’ woes aren’t over just yet despite lawyer snub
Nina Agdal has asked for unspecified damages as part of the lawsuit. But she’s asking for no less than $150,000 for each violation of the federal law that prohibits the sharing of intimate images. Agdal and Logan Paul also claimed that at least one of Danis’ posts included a sexually explicit image. This was from a “romantic encounter” more than ten years ago, which they claimed violated federal and state law.
So it’s hard not to notice where the money hiccups would stem from. Danis has been catching a lot of flak on his online presence as well. His whole demeanor, his defeat, and the unapologetic treads over Logan Paul afterward have been jarring. However, that is not where it ends for the grappler.

Danis failed to show up to the scheduled conference on Tuesday but looks like he appeared today — the judge ordered him to turn over his cell phone by 5 pm on Oct. 3 with a deposition scheduled on Oct. 8.
Judge Michael A. Hammer has ordered a face-to-face conference to address ongoing issues following the motion to withdraw. This includes the long-running saga of trying to locate a mobile phone that belonged to the fighter.
Danis must “appear in person” for it. Danis used a tactic similar to that of mocking Jake Paul, as he did with Logan and Nina Agdal. So, knowing him and his malicious train, there’s no telling if ‘El Jeffe’ will stop and amend. Looking at Logan Paul’s behavior, he’ll want Danis to pay up.
