The cricketers and the movie actors have often expressed their admiration for each other’s work. Over the years, several cricketers tied knots with the Bollywood actresses: Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty, and so on.
Some actresses have been ardent followers of the game and are associated with it by owning the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams. Preity Zinta owns Punjab Kings (PBKS), Juhi Chawla co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) alongside Shah Rukh Khan, while Shilpa Shetty used to co-own Rajasthan Royals (RR). Kareena Kapoor- Virat Kohli
Kareena Kapoor’s father-in-law is none other than the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who captained the Indian team in the 1960s and 70s. During an interview in 2017, Kapoor said she loved the way Virat Kohli plays and credited him for India’s victories. When she was asked if Kohli would become the next Sachin Tendulkar, Kapoor said he has already become the next Tendulkar.

Priyanka Chopra
Renowned Bollywood and Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra came to the Star Sports studio in 2019 during the first Test between India and South Africa in Visakhapatnam. There she talked about how her parents had organized a cricket match during her wedding to American pop singer Nick Jonas.
She also narrated an incident when her in-laws were supporting England in the 2019 World Cup, while she cheered for the Men in Blue. When asked who her favorite is, she said it’s both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma because she knows them personally.
Tamannaah Bhatia
Cricket fans have often seen Tamannaah Bhatia at the stadium performing during the opening ceremony of the IPL. In 2019, on the sidelines of the T10 match between Deccan Gladiators and Qalandars in Abu Dhabi, Bhatia was quizzed about her favorite cricketer.
Well, I mean, I am from India, so you know, [MS] Dhoni is like someone I am a big fan of.
In IPL 2023, Bhatia was to perform at the opening ceremony. Ahead of her performance, she revealed that apart from Dhoni, Virat Kohli was also her favorite cricketer.
Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is from a sports family and her father, Prakash Padukone, is a former badminton player. Deepika is also in the movie ’83’, based on the life of the legendary Kapil Dev. Her husband, Ranveer Singh, played the role of Dev in the film.
In the Star Sports studio, Deepika said that she and Ranveer watch cricket matches during their free time and that they make sure to watch an important game with friends and family. And when she was asked about her all-time favorite cricketer, the ‘Padmavat’ actress said she admires Rahul Dravid.
For me, he (Dravid) is somebody I have admired and looked up to, and he is from Bangalore.
Katrina Kaif- Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli
The Bollywood star used to be an ambassador of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the first three years. During interviews, she revealed that she used to play the game in her childhood. And about her favorite cricketer, it’s none other than Rahul Dravid. In an interview in 2017, Kaif called The Wall her favorite cricketer for his calm disposition and gentlemanlike manners.
I like Rahul Dravid, who I believe is a true gentleman… He never seems to get upset, angry, or hyper, and, having said that, I have never spoken more than three words to him. He is very shy.
In 2022 on Star Sports, while promoting her film Phone Bhoot, she revealed that her favorite current cricketer is Virat Kohli. She talked about his temper and how he plays well against Pakistan.
