5 Players With Most Number of Catches In IPL

“Catches win you matches”

This proverb perfectly fits fine when we look at the currently changing scenario of limited overs cricket in the world.

T20 cricket came into limelight right-away after it’s very first World Cup in 2007. At that time, fans took it as a very younger or say a shorter version of ODI’s but through time it gained its own identity and now people compare T20 Leagues like IPL and Big Bash to be something equal to the status of a small or mini-World Cup.

Fielding has been a very prominent part of Cricket, right from it’s first definite refrence in the year 1597(1598 according to modern calendar). Although, fielding is considered a bit low-key from aspects like batting and bowling but according to some experts, it’s the most important part of the game.

Throughout history, we have seen teams facing major consequences once they drop a batsman early on in his innings. But once catches are taken without fail, fielding teams reap greater rewards.

In all the small and big shorter format or T20 tournaments going on in the World, Indian Premier League or The IPL has reserved its place at the top-most spot, and when it comes to fielding players like Russell, Raina, Stokes, Chris Lynn, Jadeja, and many others have proved time and again that some brilliant fielding efforts can turn around the results of any game.

On this note, Let’s find about who are the Top 5 fielders with regard to the most catches in IPL.
