“Classy Sharma” – Twitter goes berserk as CSK suffers their fourth consecutive defeat thanks to Abhishek Sharma’s brilliant 75

Sunrisers Hyderabad have won their first match in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season, defeating Chennai Super Kings by an innings and eight wickets. At the DY Patil Stadium, it was a pretty one-sided game, with Abhishek Sharma leading the way for the Orange Army with the bat, smashing 75 runs off 50 balls in a 155-run chase. CSK, on the other hand, tried their hardest on the day, but their lack of wicket-taking bowlers haunted them as they continue to wait for their first two points of the season.

Chasing 155, SRH only needed a steady start from their openers, and for the first time this season, Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson got off to a good start. The two worked well together, with the former taking the initiative to score runs on the powerplay. As they added 89 runs for the first wicket in less than 13 overs, the SRH skipper took a back seat and played second fiddle to him. Despite the fact that Mukesh Choudhary broke the partnership, SRH was always ahead of the game.
