The Indian Premier League (IPL) is renowned as one of the best T20 leagues across the globe and enjoys a massive fan base. Every year, the official broadcasters or title sponsors come up with unique advertisements and anthems to cause a buzz among the fans for the T20 extravaganza. While many commercials fizzle away from the memory of the cricket enthusiasts, there are a handful of ads that manage to bind the audience for years. 

Recently, a cricket fanatic shared a thread on Twitter where they posted some of the most famous and hilarious IPL advertisements ever. The advertisements that managed to make it to the elite list include commercials from IPL 2012, IPL 2013, IPL 2014, IPL 2015, and IPL 2016. The thread also features advertisements from the collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Jio, Virat Kohli, and Kingfisher followed by Priyanka Chopra and Chris Gayle.

The TVC produced by DLF for the 2012 edition was titled, “Aisa Mauka Aur Kahan Milega.” The basic idea behind the same was to celebrate the homecoming of IPL. It urged all cricket fans to unite and celebrate the game of cricket.

The advertisement for IPL 2013 had a music theme named, Jumping Zapak, featuring Farah Khan. The market campaign for IPL 2014 revolved around a unique theme, ‘Come on, Bulaava Aaya Hai’. The TVC invited the people of India to come and watch IPL, leaving behind their miseries and problems. 

The commercial released for the 2015 edition of the Indian Premier League aptly described the mood of the entire nation. IPL is considered nothing less than a festival in India and thus the TVC was titled, ‘India Ka Tyohaar’. 

The last advertisement of make it to the best IPL commercial was from the 2016 edition. For 2016, Sony MAX released a promotional video that was based on the theme of ‘Ek India Happywala’. The commercial gave the idea that India will be a happy place to live as cricket binds everyone.
